What is G.I.F.T.?

Growing in faith together is our goal with this family based faith formation program. The parish families with children in grades K-8 meet once a month to share a meal followed by catechesis. This entails breaking into age appropriate groups, K-5th, 6th-8th, and a parent group.  Kids will have the opportunity to engage in activities, fellowship, and prayer, while the parents will attend a talk in the church followed by discussion and a time for questions. High school age children of these families are encouraged to join our small group activities with the younger children as mentors and as group leaders. The approach to meeting once a month, with take home materials to complete between sessions, allows parents greater flexibility in their schedules and reinforces their authority as their children's primary catechist and influence in the faith. All of the community is welcome to join in assisting us on this faith journey by serving and being present to our youth. Parishioners have a wonderful opportunity to share their faith, to model service and works of mercy, and to demonstrate the importance of being part of a faith community as brothers and sisters in Christ.
